PSQCA Establishing Laboratory

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Nov, 2017 ) :Deputy Director of Pakistan Standard & Quality Control Authority (PSQCA), Quetta, Engr. Shahid Ali Tuesday said that PSQCA is establishing a testing laboratory with the cost of Rs.
50.31 million. He said that Minister of State for Science and Technology Dostain Khan Domki had laid down foundation stone of the laboratory for the provision of facilities to the masses. Talking to APP, he said that the lab will help in testing facilities of various items including food, bottled drinking water, cooking oil, tea and other items.
He said that his department was taking all out efforts to prevent sale of sub-standard goods. Shahid said that about 15 companies have been issued warning letters under PSQCA rules, aiming to ensure selling of quality items in the area.
Three companies were also sealed off due to illegal working, he added. He said that measures were underway to check quality of edible items and goods on daily basis in different areas of the city. He also urged masses to cooperate with PSQCA staff.
