Engr. Prof Dr Attaullah Shah Sorted Out As Favorite Candidate For VC Karakoram International University (KIU)

Engr. Prof Dr Attaullah Shah has emerged as top of the panel of 3 candidates, and recommended for VC position of Karakoram International University (KIU) Gilgit-Baltistan.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2018 ) :Engr. Prof Dr Attaullah Shah has emerged as top of the panel of 3 candidates, and recommended for VC position of Karakoram International University (KIU) Gilgit-Baltistan.

The two other candidates recommended by the KIU's Senate and VC's search committee after interview are Prof Sarwat Mirza from Arid Agriculture University and Prof Mukhtiar Former VC Islamic University Bahawalpur, a press release said on Monday.

Prof Attaullah Shah is currently VC City University Peshawar. He had served Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) as Director Projects and Planning for twenty years. He has done PhD Civil Engineering.

He is the author of 100 plus publications in refereed journals and international conferences.

He also authored six books in the areas of Engineering Eco, High Strength Concrete, Disaster Management, Construction Project Managemnt.

The Search Committee and Senate have recommended him on the basis if his outstanding research, academic leadership and resource mobilization. The KIU is presently faced with challenges of infrastructure development in main campus and establishment of 3 new campuses at Hunza Diamer and Ghizer.

It is learnt that the University has to establish it's Faculty of Engineering for which funds to the tune of 3 billion has already been released by the Government.
