Fatima Jinnah Women University Entrepreneurship Fair 2018 Kicked Off

Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) in celebration of 20 years of excellence here on Thursday kicked off a three-day Entrepreneurship Fair 2018.
The FJWU graduates, women colleges, vocational training institutes, community partners and external business women from the twin cities were taking part in the business expo where more than 70 businesses have showcased their products/ services.
At the inauguration ceremony, Parliamentary Secretary Planning Kanwal Shauzeb was the chief guest.
Addressing the participants, she said Pakistan had been facing problems for several years and the incumbent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government was making all out efforts to bring visible changes in the country.
She urged the youth to give their ten years to the country and play their role for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
A country could not development where the youth remain busy in search of jobs, she added.
Kanwal Shauzeb further said China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was a project which would help provide a large number of job opportunities to the youth. It would help enhance exports of Pakistan and bring real prosperity in the country like the developed countries, she added.
She informed that the Ministry for Planning and Development was working on a special program focusing on the empowerment of females and to provide them more and more entrepreneurship opportunities so that they could be encouraged in every field of life.
She said that there was no profession where the females could not perform. The girls should also be imparted technical training with formal education Women's active participation in all fields of life would bring visible changes in Pakistani society, she added.
She appreciated the role of the university for imparting education and empowerment of the females.
On the occasion, Vice Chancellor, FJWU, Dr. Samina Amin Qadir, faculty members and a large number of students werepresent.
