Scholarship Of Rs2.5m Distributed Among Minority Students: Minister

Provincial Minister for Minorities Affairs & Human Rights Khalil Tahir Sindhu distributed scholarship cheques during a ceremony held at Circuit House here Friday.Educational Scholarships worth Rs2.5 million have been provided to 88 students belongs to miniority community of the division.
FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2018 ) :Provincial Minister for Minorities Affairs & Human Rights Khalil Tahir Sindhu distributed scholarship cheques during a ceremony held at Circuit House here Friday.Educational Scholarships worth Rs2.5 million have been provided to 88 students belongs to miniority community of the division.
Parliamentarians Madeha Rana, Dr Najma Afzal, Additional Commissioner Coordination Mahr Shafqatullah Mushtaq, Lala Robin Daniel, Father Nisar Barkat and other representatives of the minority community were also present.
Provincial Minister for Minorities Affairs & Human Rights Khalil Tahir Sindhu congratulated recipients of the scholarships and said CM Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif had allocated Rs30 million for providing educational scholarships to the talented students of minorities during the current year while scholarships of same amount had been distributed among minority students during the last year.
He said that the CM Punjab was very much encouraging to the talented and able students by providing them handsome scholarships, laptops and other awards which would help in bringing about education revolution for rapid development of the country.
During the ceremony of scholarships, Rs50,000 each were distributed among students of professional education, Rs30,000 for postgraduates, Rs25,000 in graduates, Rs15,000 in Inter and Rs10,000 each in SSC students were distributed.
