Sindh University Management Provides Students Friendly Amenities

In a move to take the University of Sindh to the new heights of success, several new student friendly amenities including dispensary and reading hall were inaugurated at varsity's boys' hostels amid presence of divisional administration top-brass in the late hours of Tuesday night
According to spokesman, the facilities included establishment of an efficient round-the-clock medical dispensary with the availability of qualified physician 24/7, a reading hall at Makhdoom Amin Fahim hostel and installation of CCTV surveillance system at prominent points of the premises.
The initiatives taken by the university administration were jointly inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Burfat, noted front-liner senator of Pakistan Peoples' Party Aajiz Dhamrah and Commissioner Hyderabad Division Muhammad Abbas Baloch.
Among others, Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro Captain (R) Fariduddin Mustafa, SSP Jamshoro Touqeer Muhammad Naeem, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro Shoukat Ali Ujjan, Focal Person SU Thatta campus Prof. Dr. Sarfaz Hussain Solangi, SU Registrar Ghulam Muhammad Bhutto, Member SU Syndicate Jamshed Ali Baloch and Provost Ghulam Saqib Buriro were also in attendance.
Recalling the deaths of four university students in different accidents outside the university campus at Indus Highway, Dr. Burfat highlighted the measures which he adopted to stop such fatal cases in future added that he also pledged to introduce massive reforms to ensure health atmosphere in the campus.
Senator Aajiz Dhamrah reminiscing fond old days of his stay as student political leader at the same very dorms, stated that campus student-politics had undergone a massive change on a positive note; turning students more responsible, mature, study-oriented and competitive.
He assured the Vice Chancellor of his all-out support in bringing the varsity to top in the country. He eulogized VC's reform initiatives in the last two years.
Commissioner Hyderabad division Ghulam Abbas Baloch declared Sindh University identical with Sindh, which, in his view, merited love and ownership by all Sindh denizens to help it become leading higher education institution world over.
The Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro Captain (R) Fareeduddin Mustafa, SSP Jamshoro Touqeer Muhammad Naeem and provost SU boys hostels Ghulam Saqib Buriro also spoke on the occasion.
