University Of Sargodha, University Of Canberra Signs Agreement

The University of Sargodha (UoS) and the University of Canberra (UoC) have joined hands to help Pakistani farmers improve irrigation management on small and middle sized irrigated farms.
SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Sep, 2018 ) :The University of Sargodha (UoS) and the University of Canberra (UoC) have joined hands to help Pakistani farmers improve irrigation management on small and middle sized irrigated farms.
The initiative was taken under a project, funded by the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR), a press release issued by the UoS said.
A letter of agreement was signed here at the UoS between UoS Dean Faculty of Agriculture Dr Muhammad Afzal and Principal Investigator of the ACIAR project, Dr Heaney-Mustafa Sandra, for 'developing approaches to enhance farmers' water management skills' in Balochistan, Punjab and Sindh provinces.
The four-year ACIAR funded project, led by University of Canberra and jointly implemented by Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR), Islamabad, Society of Facilitators and Trainers (SOFT) Islamabad, Social Sciences Research Institute (SSRI), National Agricultural Research Center (NARC), Islamabad, will help Pakistani farmers for improvement in irrigation of small and middle sized irrigated farms.
