162,256 Children To Be Inoculated In Upcoming Anti-measles Campaign In Shangla

A total of about 162,256 children below five years would be inoculated in twelve-day anti-measles campaign scheduled to start in the district from 15-27 October, informed District Coordinator Shangla, Dr. Wajid Ali here on Friday.
SHANGLA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Oct, 2018 ) :A total of about 162,256 children below five years would be inoculated in twelve-day anti-measles campaign scheduled to start in the district from 15-27 October, informed District Coordinator Shangla, Dr. Wajid Ali here on Friday.
Briefing a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Tashfeen Haider, he said that all the related preparation have been made to achieve desired results from the campaign. He said that children of 28 Union Councils of Shangla would be targeted in the upcoming anti-measles campaign.
He said that each union council of the district has been divided into 12 blocks and children from nine months to five-year age group would be inoculated. He said that injectable and needed provisions have been sent to union councils and security plan has also been formulated for the campaign.
Dr Wajid Ali urged people to help authorities in making the endeavor a success adding that a campaign has also launched to create awareness among people against the disease.
