Basic Health Unit Rawalpindi Dhama Syeda Made Functional

The work on newly constructed Basic Health Unit ( BHU) Dhama Syeda has been completed at the cost of Rs 45.647m in rural area of Tehsil Rawalpindi
Director Finance and Planning, District Health Authority Dr Ali Ehsan told APP on Wednesday that the BHU has started working to provide health services including maternity healthcare. "The BHU has started working round the clock seven days a week where free medicines are being provided to the newborn and the mother", he addedAli said the provision of adequate health services especially for mother and child health in the rural areas was the top priority of the Punjab government.
He said that one Lady Doctor, Lady Health Workers, Ayas and security guard are performing duties at BHU.
The Director said the Health Department was determined to upgrade the existing health facilities in rural areas and would use all available resources to bring a visible change in the delivery of health services.
