He further said, the extension of Polyclinic hospital can vitally contribute the cater the needs of maximum patients.
New advanced equipment including CT Scans and MRI machines used for offering updated test services to the patients could not be set up due to the lack of space in the present building of the hospital and no canteen or cafeteria could be set up to offer hygienic food to the doctors and the patients, he informed.
He asked the relevant authorities to pay heed on the issue of overburden in hospitals and need for further extension of Polyclinic hospital with a comprehensive reform health policy for short and long terms.
Replying a query he said , the administration of hospital was 24 hours engaged in addressing routine administrative problems, whereas their main focus is to continue on up gradation process i.e. deployment of latest medical equipment, the newly inducted doctors and staff for ensuring efficient service delivery for general public.
He said it was also observed that long queues of patients, including women and men could be seen at the outpatient department (OPD) throughout the day as there are no proper waiting arrangements for elderly, serious patients in the hospital, where we need to find out the solutions faced by poor citizens.
