Punjab Healthcare Commission Seals Two Drug Addiction Rehabilitation Centers In Lahore

The Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) on Thursday sealed two drug-addiction treatment and rehabilitation centers over insufficient psychiatric, health and residential facilities, and also evacuated 26 patients being treated there.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Oct, 2018 ) :The Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) on Thursday sealed two drug-addiction treatment and rehabilitation centers over insufficient psychiatric, health and residential facilities, and also evacuated 26 patients being treated there.
A spokesperson for the PHC said that the Commission's teams conducted raids on four treatment centers and closed down two facilities including 'Taha Tark-e-Manshiat Aur Nafsiat Centre' and 'Rehab Home' in Faisalabad.
The teams also evacuated 14 and 12 individuals from the Centre and Home respectively prior to sealing the premises.
He said that these centers were functional without the requisite human resource including psychiatrists, psychologists, doctors, para-medical staff and insufficient facilities like residential and emergency cover.
Moreover, the administrations of these centers had not displayed rate lists of its services including treatment and consultation, he added.
