Work On Various Health Projects In Full Swing: CEO Health

Work on different projects of health sector under Prime Minister's Programme for health is in full swing in the district at the cost of Rs 370 million
Under this programme the projects included 24 Basic Health Units, 5 Trauma Centers and Nurseries in RHCs OPD for evening in 6 BHUs, one Wear House and 3 Gyne centers.
This was stated by CEO District Health Authority Rai Samiullah in a briefing to media and MPAs.
Advisor to CM Punjan Faisal Hayat Jabbuwana and MPA Maulana Muavia Azam said the PTI government was taking revolutionary steps in health sector to provide latest health care facilities to the citizens.
They said that the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan was to provide treatment facilities in far flung rural areas. They said that patient load on big hospitals would certainly decrease with the up-gradation of basic health units and RHCs.
They said that the PM Programme of health was being started in Rajanpur, DG Khan, Lodhran, Attock, Chiniot and Mianwali in addition to Jhang. In these districts gyne facilities would be available round the clock in 195 BHUs. Moreover Ambulance services would be provided in rural areas, they added.
They said that Trauma Center would be established in 35 RHCs, Intensive Care units, Nurseries and Nutrition Clinics and 16 new Filter Clinics, and 8 warehouses for storage of medicines would be set up in these selected districts this year.
The CEO health told that under this programme, 271 new posts including 5 Child Specialists, 27 Medical Officers, 63 LHVs, 60 Security Guards and 86 female workers would be available for recruitment.
