22 Federal, 8 Provincial Institutions To Be Upgraded
As Smart Schools

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Augst,2016) : As manay as 25 schcols of capital and eight provincial institutions will be upgrade as smart schools under the vision 2025 programme. The oncard projects of reforms in the examination system; curriculum, teachers training and modern education in madaris would be completed till 2017-18. According to the official documents of the Planning Commission here Tuesday, the Federal Minister for Planning Commission and Development Ahsan Iqbal has directed to speed up the development work of education reform projects and complete it till 2018, as the national progress was connected with the education. In the recent history of the world the nations have had developed with the promotion of modern higher education. According to the vision 2025, it was responsibility of the federal government to bright the future of youth with education revolution, he added. The present government by establishing a network of higher educational institutions was increasing more facilities for the masses. As per the vision 2025, education is top priority of the government and the steps for establishing sub-campuses of the universities at district level would be proved fruitful for development of the areas. Under the smart schools project the smart schools would be established with a total cost of Rs 200 million, while same amount have been allocated for the project of up-gradation of Islamabad schools.
To introduce reforms in the education system, a total of Rs 30.25 million would be spent while Rs 60.50 million would be spent for reforms in the national curriculum council. Rs 40 million would be spent for teachers training and national award scheme, while Rs 30.40 million would be spent to bring Madaris into the national mainstream. The government was making planning with realistic approach to utilize the national resources for the development and prosperity of the people. With the new projects of research, the overall production would increase and the country could progress economically. The federal and provincial governments were serious for the promotion of education and spending more than one fourth of their budget on the education sector. The federal government has also initiated a project of Rs 4.58 billion under which a campus or sub campus of the universities would be established at each district level. Through the project youth will get the education facility at district level. Under PSDP, for development in the education sector through out the country, a total of Rs 21.48 billion has been allocated for the Higher Education Commission while 20 billion has been allocated for Prime Minister Education Reforms Program and Skills Development Program.
