225 schemes costing Rs 275.4573 mln approved

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Apr, 2017 ) : As many as 225 schemes costing Rs 275.4573 million have been approved during last three years in three Constituencies PK-37, PK-38 and PK-39 of Kohat.

These projects were approved in different sectors under Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister's directives, priority project, special package for development initiative, Pak MDGs, production bonus, corporate social responsibility, oil & gas and district development initiative programmes, out of which 159 completed while 75 % physical work done on the remaining schemes.

This was told to the Deputy Commissioner Kohat Akmal Khan Khattak while chairing a review meeting on developmental schemes at Kohat. The meeting besides Chairman DDAC Kohat Ziaullah Khan Bangash MPA and District Finance Officer Kohat Wahid-ur-Rahman Khattak was also attended by the District Heads of all line departments.

The meeting discussed in detail the ongoing schemes under the above mentioned programmes for the year 2014-14, 2014-15, 2015-16 and 2016-17 and certain decisions were taken in this respect.

The meeting reviewed progress on decisions of the last meeting and authorities concerned were strictly directed to ensure implementation on decisions of the meetings in letter and spirit.

The meeting directed to identify problems or hurdles if any and bring it into notice of the elected representatives and district administration well in time, to ensure its timely completion. The Deputy Commissioner asked the quarters concerned to expedite work on the schemes in line with the provincial government's directives as the current financial is nearly on completion.

They were further asked to share their progress report with the administration as well as district finance officer regularly on monthly basis and show no leniency in this regard. He declared there would be no compromise on quality of work and time of completion adding that those failed to deliver, would be dealt sternly.
