ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Oct, 2023) In a crackdown on commodities overpricing, the Assistant Commissioner of Pothohar Awaid Irshad Bhatti, visited the vegetable market area and arrested six vendors for selling vegetables at higher than government notified rates.

The Assistant Commissioner also inspected the area to ensure that all vendors were complying with the government rates and selling items at wholesale rates. Warnings were issued to other violators.

This crackdown is a welcome move, as it will help to ensure that consumers are not overcharged for vegetables. It is also a reminder to vendors that they must comply with the government rates.
