Arab League, OIC Urged To Play Role In Resolving Middle East Issues:

ISLAMABAD, Jan 5 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 05th Jan, 2017 ) : Leader of the House in the Senate Raja Zafar ul-Haq on Thursday said Arab League and Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) should intervene for resolving the issues of middle East.

He stated this while speaking at a roundtable discussion on "Deteriorating Middle East; Policy options for the Arab leaders," arranged by The Muslim Institute here at National library Islamabad on Thursday.

Raja Zafar ul-Haq said that Arab leaders should shun their petty differences for the unity of Muslim Ummah.

He said divisions on basis of sectarianism should be discouraged in the Middle East.

Raja Zafar ul-Haq said that Middle East was facing transition phase , adding that in order to avoid further disasters, Arab league and OIC should work to ensure peace in the Middle East. He said that Egypt, the Arab world's most populous nation and for so long its intellectual and military powerhouse, has been unable to play the leadership role that it once played.
