CPEC Vital To Overcome Energy Crisis: Senator

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Augst,2016) : Senator PML-N Muhammad Javed Abbasi said on Wednesday that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would play a vital role to get rid of energy crisis. Talking to Radio Pakistan, he said that completion of CPEC would help improve energy production in the country eventually benefitting the business and trade sector.
"Timely completion of energy projects was top priority of the government," he added. He said, "It is expected that 11000 MW electricity will be added to the national Grid till 2018 which will improve the energy situation and economy as well".
He further said support of China to overcome the energy shortage is crucial. Replying to a question he said, "we are paying special attention on the provision of electricity to the people and mobilizing all resources and channels for enhancing generation capacity.
