Crackdown Against Power Defaulters To Continue Indiscriminately: PESCO

SDO, Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (PESCO), Mardan Azam Jan on Wednesday said crackdown against power pilfers would continue indiscriminately to overcome loadshedding.
Talking to consumers in his office at Gujar Ghari sub division Mardan, the PESCO official said recovery drive had been accelerated in the area and added that strict action would be taken against the elements involved in using illegal power supply.
He said drive would help overcome line losses and power loashedding and vowed to conduct the crackdown irrespective of pressure from any quarter.
He said power pilferage was a crime and culprits should be brought to book, adding, meters would be provided at the earliest to those who voluntarily removed direct connections.
He also appealed people to cooperate with the PESCO in fighting corruption through preventing power theft.
