Digitzation Of FIRs In KP Continuing Unabated, 12729 FIRs Digitized: Spokesman

The digitization of First Information Report (FIRs) is continuing unabated and so far 12,729 FIRs have been computerized throughout the province during the last one month
Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Salahuddin Khan Mehsood is giving top priority to equip police force with latest modern technology so as to enable them to combat terrorist and other hard core criminals in a befitting manner.
A spokesman for Police said that the digitization of large number of FIRs is the clear manifestation of this fact.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have prepared a central data base for the record of all police stations' FIRs. Direct access to the FIR is via data of a concerned person i.e CNIC mobile phone and house address.
According to detail, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have managed to computerize data of 12729 FIRs during the last one month.
Mardan district police showed excellence performance during the current year by digitizing 2307 FIRs followed by Peshawar of 1939 FIRs, Charsadda 624, Nowshera 784, Swabi 825, Swat 1078, Buner 206, Shangla 342, Dir Lower 131, Dir Upper 90, Chitral 194, Abbottabad 696, Haripur 446, Mansehra 308, Battagram 53, Kohistan Lower 42, Kohistan Upper 4, Torghar 29, Kohat 584, Hangu 229, Karak 149, Bannu 735, Lakki Marwat 191, DIKhan 557 and Tank 186.
All records of the criminal have been centralized due to online computer record and access to all police stations of the province and result oriented action is being taken against the outlaws instantly.
Now the accused cannot evade from the police action. Complete file record against the accused is available in this computerized system.
All police action and court proceeding in the case are being registered in the online system. After registration of an FIR in any police station one copy is sent to the computer cell for digitization.
