ECP Imposes Rs 50,000 On PP-20 Cnadidate Ch Sultan Haider Ali Khan

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has imposed Rs 50,000 fine to Chaudhry Sultan Haider Ali Khan, a candidate of PP 20 Chakwal for violating code of ethics in by elections campaign of Chakwal
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 09th Jan, 2018 ) :The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has imposed Rs 50,000 fine to Chaudhry Sultan Haider Ali Khan, a candidate of PP 20 Chakwal for violating code of ethics in by elections campaign of Chakwal.
According to ECP press release, District Monitoring Officer had summoned MNAs Hamza Shahbaz Sharif, Major (Retd) Tahir Iqbal, MPA Sardar Zulfikar Ali Khan and Vice Chairman District Council, Chakwal Khursheed Baig for addressing a rally in the constituency on January 6 in the presence of candidate of PP 20 on report of District Returning Officer.
District Returning Officer summoned PP 20 candidate Chaudhry Sultan Haider Ali Khan to explain his position on violation of code of ethics. Ch Haider failed to satisfy the DRO. DRO sent the case to District Monitoring Officer for further proceedings.
Ghulam Jillani Mehnaz Advocate represented candidate PP 20 Sultan Haider Ali Khan in the court of District Monitoring Officer. ECP had appointed District Election Commissioner Bahawalnagar Muhammad Shahid to register complaints about violation of code of ethics in by election campaign.
