EU To Organize A Film Festival In Connection With Human Rights Day Celebrations

European Union (EU) delegation to Pakistan would organize a film festival on December 10 in connection with Human Rights Day celebrations in collaboration with United Nations Information Centre and Potohar Organization for Development Advocacy (PODA) at Lok Virsa Media Centre
ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Dec, 2017 ) :European Union (EU) delegation to Pakistan would organize a film festival on December 10 in connection with Human Rights Day celebrations in collaboration with United Nations Information Centre and Potohar Organization for Development Advocacy (PODA) at Lok Virsa Media Centre.
The film festival would provide an opportunity to students, human rights activists, movie-goers and all interested in the subject to view a variety of documentary films on the theme of human rights in Media Centre of Lok Virsa.
During festival, EU selected documentary films would be screened to highlight the importance of the Human Rights Day.
Officials of European Union delegation, United Nations Information Centre and PODA will attend the event.
Senior officials of Lok Virsa and a large number of people from different walks of life would also attend the film screening. The goal of the event is to share selected films from the EU to engage a discussion in order to create awareness on human rights issues, such as identity, tolerance, respect, human dignity and intercultural dialogue as well as to challenge stereotypes.
