Income Tax (Amendment) Ordinance 2016 Laid In NA

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Augst,2016) : The Income Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2016 (IV of 2016) was laid before the National Assembly on Thursday. Parliamentary Secretary for Finance and Revenue Rana Muhammad Afzal laid the Ordinance before the House as required by clause (2) of Article 89 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Speaking on the occasion, Rana Afzal said that the government brought ordinance rarely.
He said the sole reason of the ordinance to collect taxes. Tax collection from transactions could not be delayed, he added. He said the ordinance was promulgated when no house (Senate and National Assembly) was in session.
