LESCO to introduce Online Customer Complaint System

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Jul, 2017 ) : Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) is planning to introduce an Online Customer Complaint Management System (OCCMS) for the convenience of its customers.

In order to get public feedback on the proposed project, the Company on Monday arranged a ceremony in its Sheikhupura circle that was attended by LESCO Chief Executive Officer Syed Wajid Ali Kazmi, SE (Sheikhupura Circle) Muhammad Latif Mughal, Director (Customer Services) Khalid Mirza, Director General (Implementation) Khalid Mehmood Nasir, DG (IT) Imtiaz Rasool, local businessmen, lawyers, political and social figures and media persons.

Giving a presentation on the occasion, Director General (IT) Imtiaz Rasool said customers' mobile phone would be the source of communication that would enable the customers to lodge all their LESCO complaints, including wrong meter reading, defective meter, non-receiving of bill, electricity failure, acquiring of new connection and delay in issuance of a demand notice.

The customer, he explained, could register these complaints through SMS (Short Message Service), and in response, the LESCO would issue a token number with a 'Time Tag' through SMS to their respective complaints.

He added that the company's authorities concerned would contact SDO and X-En respectively, in case the customer's complaint was not rectified within the given time. Monitoring screens would also be installed in the X-En office in every division of LESCO to check status of the customers complaints, he mentioned.

On this occasion, the SE (Sheikhupura Circle) Muhammad Latif Mughal said the company had managed to gain confidence of the customers, however, a lot had yet to be done in this direction. He added that they were striving hard to improve the power supply system to the best.

Meanwhile, LESCO also arranged its 160th pension paper and cheque distribution ceremony with Director (HR) Aazia Shoaib in the chair. Eleven retiring employees of the company were given their pension documents and cheques.

The retiring employees were Assistant Manager Muhammd Amin, Linemen-I Abdul Haye Butt and Nazim Hussain, Linemen-II Muhammad Ismail and Muhammad Ishaq, Meter Reader Javed Khalid, Lorry Driver Ali Hassan, Security Guard Ghulam Hussain, Chokidar Amanat Ali and Noor Muhammad, and Sanitary Worker Sarwar Masih.
