The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday reserved the verdict on a petition filed for the release of Model Town inquiry report
LAHORE, Sept 19 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Sep, 2017 ) : The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday reserved the verdict on a petition filed for the release of Model Town inquiry report. Justice Sayyed Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi heard the petition, filed by the families of Model Town incident victims.
Qaiser Iqbal and 19 others had filed the petition relying on Article 19(A) of the Constitution, which ensures fundamental rights of every citizen to have access to information in all matters of public interest.
The tribunal comprising Justice Ali Baqar Najafi had conducted a judicial inquiry into the Model Town tragedy and had submitted its report to the Punjab government. APP/syh/rsd/azm
