ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd May, 2019 ) :People throng markets particularly women and children throng markets and shopping malls in the country to purchase clothes and shoes for the upcoming festival of Eid-ul- Fitr.
With each passing day, Eid Shopping is gaining momentum in the country's major markets and shopping malls in evening as the scorching heat restrict people to their homes during day time.
Mostly women and children are seen busy in buying clothes, bangles, cosmetics, foot wears and other accessories for the festival.
According to shopkeepers, like every year, they illuminate their shops to attract customers.
People prefer to but ready made clothes to avoid rush at tailors shops, said another shop keeper.
A beautician Amna Sohail said she did her shopping before Ramazan as stitching of clothes took time while in the last week her business would be at peak.
Iqra Ikram said her family started shopping with the start of Ramazan but bangles and mehndi shopping mostly preferred on chand raat.
She said nothing could stop people from shopping for Eid, not even the ever increasing prices by the seasonal traders.
A family while shopping said, the eager shoppers were roaming various markets and trying to purchase best items and gifts either for themselves or for their family members, friend and relatives.
