MNA Urges International Media To Highlight HR Violations In IOK

ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Augst,2016) : Pakistan People's Party MNA Syed Amir Ali Jamote Friday urged the international media to highlight Kashmir issue as Indian was committing gross human rights violations in Indian occupied Kashmir. The PPP MNA who is member of Assembly Standing Committee on Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage also called upon the Pakistani media to highlight Kashmir issue in a more effective manner. Talking to APP here, he said that Kashmir needed more focus and attention from the electronic media in prime time talk shows as it was not given proper attention.
Strongly condemning the Indian army for genocide of the Kashmir masses,he urged the international community to play its due role in stopping gross human rights violations at the hands of Indian occupation forces. To a question,he said that Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) had taken some steps to stop telecast of objectionable content on the electronic media but still there was need to strictly implement the code of conduct in this regard.
