NAB Arrests Two Wanted In Land Scam Case

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Oct, 2017 ) :National Accountability Bureau, Karachi office here on Tuesday arrested Jahangir Khan Marri and Ghulam Rasool allegedly involved in illegal transfer of 192 acres of precious land in Gharo, district Thatta.
Bails of the two, wanted in a Reference involving land scam were, also recalled this afternoon by Sindh High Court, said the NAB officials. The arrested are charged for getting land transferred in their name through fake documents in connivance with Karamuddin Panhyar, Ex-Assistant Commissioner Taluka Mirpur Sakro, District Thatta and Gada Hussain Abro, Ex-Mukhtiarkar Taluka Mirpur Sakro, District Thatta.
The property was said to be subsequently sold to a private party causing loss worth more than Rs. 600 million to the exchequer. The two accused were also charged to defraud private person Irfan Hilal by selling him government property under pretext of being privately owned. They will be produced before Accountability Court on Wednesday said the NAB officials. APP/rh/msk
