Over 10,000 FATA Youth To Get Loan For Business: KP Governor

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Oct, 2016 ) : The Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra on Wednesday said technical training is being imparted to FATA youth by FATA Development Authority (FDA).
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of Job Placement Centre established here at Hayatabad at FDA building in collaboration with UNDP, he said that as many as 9,000 youth from FATA have already been trained, adding the government would provide loans to over 10,000 trained youth from FATA to start own business.
Additional Chief Secretary FATA and Chief Executive FDA Fida Wazi, UNDP representative and students from FATA attended the ceremony.
The Governor said the government is taking pragmatic measures to provide opportunities to youth from FATA, adding the development work is in full pace in tribal areas.
He said that seven small dams have been completed in various agencies while seven more small dams are being construed. He further said that on completion, the dams would irrigate 5,675 acre of land besides providing drinking water facilities to tribal people.
The Governor said that a Marble City is being set up in FATA for Mineral Development and as part of the measures the work on 160 kilometer road, fencing of the city and separate grid station has been completed.
