Pakistan Holds Cordial Relationship With Romania, Needs Further Improvement: Governor

PESHAWAR,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Augst,2016) : The Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engr.Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that Pakistan has very cordial relationships with Romania since long which needs further improvement. This, he said, while addressing as the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of Romania in Peshawar on Wednesday.
Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Assad Qaiser, Ambassadors of Bosnia, Tanzania and Seri lanka to Pakistan, Deputy Speaker of Provincial Assembly Mehr Taj Roghani, MNAs, MPAs, Senators, Provincial Ministers, and Consul General of Romania in Peshawar Ayub Afridi were also present on this occasion.
The Governor said that the launching ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of Romania of course is a great achievement in the historic city of Peshawar. He said Ayub Afridi took very bold step to strengthen bonds of relationships between both the countries.
The Governor said that establishment of this consulate will prove as a facilitating step for the Pakistan based Embassy of Romania and will go a long way in developing productive friendly relationships at the people level.
He said no doubt, we have very cordial relationships with Romania since long, yet the possibility for further improvement of mutual relations can never be ruled out. The Governor said that the presence of worthy Ambassador of Romania Eilion ION, alongwith other distinguished guests makes the event more encouraging and hopeful.
He said that the situation both in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA is far better as compared to the few years back. This part of our beloved country bears tremendous potentials for economic development and offers vast opportunities for investment and promoting trade and business activities. He said, we would really welcome the Romanian investors and businessmen for joining hands with their counterparts in this part of our beloved country.
Earlier, the Ambassador of Romania gave a detailed briefing regarding their country and hoped that the cordial relations would be more strengthened for the coming days while Ayub Afridi thanked the Governor and the other distinguished guests for gracing the occasion despite their other engagements.
