DIG Operations Lahore Waqas Nazir on Tuesday lauded the efforts of joint teams of Iqbal Town police and Dolphin Squad for resolving the case of kidnapping by using latest technology and professional expertise

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jan, 2019 ) :DIG Operations Lahore Waqas Nazir on Tuesday lauded the efforts of joint teams of Iqbal Town police and Dolphin Squad for resolving the case of kidnapping by using latest technology and professional expertise.

The DIG had taken a notice of the incident of kidnapping of a five year boy and directed SP Iqbal Town Ali Raza to constitute different teams for the recovery of child and arrest of the involved criminals.

It may be mentioned that the five year old Saad had visited Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park on Sunday along with his family members where he got missing. The family after a thorough search, approached the local police who through a CCTV footages provided by Gulshan-e-Iqbal park administration had found the child walking with a middle aged women and later leaving the park.

SP Iqbal Town Ali Raza said that different teams conducted search operations and investigation on different angles to recover the boy.

The SP added that CCTV footages of different areas of Iqbal Town and adjacent areas were thoroughly checked. The suspected women was found in Hunza block of Iqbal Town area according to the information received from these footages.

The police alongwith other team members initiated joint search operations in the area and recovered the boy during snap checking of Dolphin Squad. The kidnapped boy was recovered from the husband of the accused lady Naheed islam who was arrested from her resident at Hunza block Allam Iqbal Town.

Later, the police handed over the recovered boy to his parents.

Meanwhile, Iqbal Town police during its crackdown arrested 96 criminals and recovered 306 liters of liquor, more than 1 kg hashish, 1 kg opium, 8 pistols and bullets during a week.

The police also arrested 23 accused for resorting to aerial firing, kite flying, doing wheelie and price control acts.
