President Expresses Satisfaction On Foreign Policy

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jan, 2019 ) :President Dr. Arif Alvi Saturday said the government was pursuing a very active foreign policy deeply embedded in the economic prosperity of the country.

In an interview with a private tv channel, the president also credited Prime Minister Imran Khan and his team for pursuing a pro-active foreign policy aimed at securing Pakistan's interests.

He said the prime minister responded to the India leadership in a very mature manner, enhancing the country's prestige.

He also undertook visits to Saudi Arabia, Turkey, UAE and engaged with Afghan leadership, the president noted.

He said due to effective foreign policy, US realized importance of Pakistan.

To a query, he said the PTI leaders were following model of Riasat e Madina by undertaking public welfare projects.

They were taking the country towards a dignified status among the comity of nations, he added.

He lamented that previous rulers failed on these fronts due to their corruption and could not push country's agenda.

The president observed that the age belonged to artificial knowledge and software revolution which should be utilized to take Pakistan on the path of developed nations.

He said the global software market worth 700 billion Dollars could surge into trillions of dollars in 2030.

He said China Pakistan Economic Corridor was ensuring progress and prosperity of Pakistan and stressed upon tapping of country's mineral resources.

The president also emphasised upon changing the political mindset which equated action against corruption as potential threat to democracy.

He underlined the need of debate on media on the real issues of the county.
