PS-76 Election Matter; SC Disposes Of Election Petition Over

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -21st Sept,2016) : The Supreme Court on Wednesday disposed of an election petition regarding PS-76 Dadu Sindh. The three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Mian Saqib Nisar heard the case filed by Liaqat Jatoi against success of PPP candidate Rohail Asghar Sheikh.
The court disposed of case after withdrawal of petition by the petitioner. During the course of proceedings, Advocate Afzal Siddiqui counsel for Liaqat Jatoi informed the court that by-election was held in the constituency and the Election Commission also announced the by-election results. The court disposed of the case terming it infructuous.
