SC Acquits Two Murder Convicts Over Lack Of Evidences

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 02nd Nov, 2016 ) : The Supreme Court on Wednesday acquitted two murder convicts over lack of evidences. A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa heard the case filed by murder convicts Azhar Mahmood and Muhammad Altaf residents of Hassan Abdal against their death sentences.
It is pertinent to mention here that both accused were convicted over alleged murder of two persons during dacoity in Hassan Abdal. The trial court awarded death sentence which was maintained by the high court. The court after hearing arguments acquitted both accused and disposed of the case.
