
Sukkur Celebrates Independence Day And Morka-e- Haq

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Aug, 2025) A ceremony was held at the Municipal Stadium here on Friday to mark the occasion of Morka-e-Haq and Independence Day. The event was attended by Mayor Sukkur Barrister Arslan islam Sheikh, Chairman District Council Syed Kamil Hyder Shah, Deputy Commissioner Nadir Khan, SSP Sukkur Azhar Khan Mughal, and other bureaucrats and local elected representatives.
During the ceremony, awareness was raised about the preparations for Pakistan's Independence Day celebrations. Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, is also expected to attend the celebrations on August 10.
After the ceremony, Chairman District Council Syed Kamil Hyder Shah said in a media interaction that they would celebrate Independence Day as a day of victory. The Independence Day celebrations would continue from August 1 to August 14, with various activities taking place throughout the period.
The victory celebrations would be held in three cities of Sindh. The event on August 10 would be the largest celebration in Sukkur's history, with all historical sites being decorated. Renowned Pakistani singers, including Ali Zafar, would perform at the event.
