Ziarat Lacks Communication Links

Ziarat, a well known tourist destination in Balochistan lacks basic facilities, especially approach roads and tourists face immense problems in reaching the historical place which has the honour of hosting Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah before his death.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Oct, 2018 ) :Ziarat, a well known tourist destination in Balochistan lacks basic facilities, especially approach roads and tourists face immense problems in reaching the historical place which has the honour of hosting Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah before his death.

According to the visitors of Ziarat residency, people are keen to visit interesting spots of Ziarat.

A large number of visitors, people from civil society, celebrities and students of different educational institutes visit the place repeatedly to enjoy their holidays. The distance from Quetta to Ziarat is almost 125 km while Loralai is 98 km from Ziarat.

Apart from Balochistan's innumerable problems and troubles, Ziarat has most dilapidated roads and most of the existing roads are substandard standard. All the roads leading to the most famous tourist destination, Ziarat district are in deprived condition. The dilapidated condition of the roads increases accidents. Abdul Khaliq Dumer, a tourist said that the road accidents have become a prevalent menace in the province. These incidents highlight the contentment of the government, and their lax attitude in addressing the problem.

Ateeq Kakar, a resident of Ziarat, said the citizens have been facing a batch of problems when they travel to Quetta and other neighboring districts.

The district is having no accurate roads infrastructure. Kakar said in emergency case, it is difficult to shift patients from Ziarat to Quetta, the condition of patient normally worsen; mostly he or she die due to poor road facilities.

He demanded top authorities to renovate the attention to provide the basic communication system. It will be preparations to express deep love and gratitude with the Father of the Nation. He said that the government should play their role to develop road infrastructure and provide the facilities to tourists so it can significantly contribute to development of the country.

A transporter from Ziarat said that the awful condition of roads invites accidents. He expressed the anger said that in case of accident no facility is available to the injured. He said we are not willing to continue to run the transport on rough roads and that were badly affected during spell of rain. Now we have either to increase the fare or suspend our transport service as the provincial minister did not respond to our repeated calls in this regard, he expressed.
