22nd Inter-Division Gymnastic Championship Concluded

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd May, 2017 ) : The 22nd edition of the Inter-Division Boys Gymnastic Championship here on Monday concluded at Gymnasium of the Qayyum sports Complex.
Director General Sports Junaid Khan was the chief guest on this occasion. Senior Vice President PHF Muhammad Saeed Khan, Secretary KP Hockey Association Syed Zahir Shah, former World Champion Qamar Zaman graced the occasion as guests.
Peshawar secured first position by recording 124 points, followed by Mardan with 111 points and Swat remained at third with 103 points. In the floor category Nouman of Hazara won first position, followed by Askar Ali and Fida Hussain, in the volt category Shahab won first position, followed by Hamza and Muhammad Nabi, in the ring category Shahab got first position, followed by Mansoor and Hamza, in the parallel bar Sadam got first position, followed by Mansoor and Muhammad Nabi.
A total of 105 players took from all seven division comprising Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Kohat, Mardan, Swat, Hazara and host Peshawar. In the welcome speech, President KP Gymnastic Association (Ghulam Ali Group), Ejaz Khan disclosed that so far the association grabbed 121 medals in various national level events and the players of Peshawar have a key role in the promotion of Gymnastic in Pakistan.
He also thanked DG Sports Junaid Khan for extending a helping hand to the association for holding the event in befitting manners. At the end, the guests present on this occasion, gave away trophies, certificates and cash prizes to the position holders.
