Karachi Kings Journey Of PSL-4 End At Home Ground

Islamabad United beat the team by four wickets and will now make a quest against Peshawar Zalmi to reach into the final. Eliminator-2 will be played on Friday
KARACHI- (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News- 14th March 2019) Islamabad United have crushed the Karachi Kings by four wickets in the eliminator-1 match of the fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League.
The match was played at National Stadium Karachi. The United will now make a quest on Friday against Peshawar Zalmi to qualify for the final of PSL-4. The Quetta Gladiators have already fixed the spot for final which will be played on Sunday.
Playing first the KK set the target of 162 runs. L Ronchi and CS Delport of the United opened the inning but met the first blow when Babar Azam took Ronchi’s catch at a score of five on Aamer Yamin ball. AD Hales then appeared on the pitch and both players made an addition to the scoreboard of 79 runs. Delport made 38 off 27 balls and Hales scored 41 off 42 balls. Umar Khan dismissed Delpot and Aamer took the second wicket of Hales. CAK Walton was dismissed at duck on Umar delivery. Hussain Talat made precious addition of 32 runs off 19 balls with help of three sixes and one four before being prey of Usman Shinvari. Faheem Ashraf made 17 runs on eight balls and dismissed by Muhammad Amir in last over. Asif Ali scored 24 off 10 and hit the final victory shot on the 4th ball of Amir’s last over, ending the journey of the Kings in this PSL season at their home ground. Shadab Khan went not out on no score.
Aamer Yamin and Umar Khan took two wickets each while Muhammad Amir and Usman Shinvari dismissed one player each of the United.
Earlier, the Kings won the toss and opted to bat first. KK’s Babar Azam and C Munro opened the inning and made a partnership of 74 runs. Munro got dismissed on Muhammad Musa ball on the score of 32 off 11 balls. He made this addition with the help of six boundaries and one six. Babar Azam was the highest scorer who made 42 off 32 balls with the help of four boundaries. He was caught by Rounchi at Rumman Raees ball.
LS Livingstone scored 32 before getting caught by Faheem Ashraf on Shadab Khan’s delivery. CM Ingram made 23 runs, BR Dunk 12, Iftikhar Ahmed 1, Aamer Yamin (run out) 1, Muhammad Amir (run out) three. Umar Khan made no runs while Imad Wasim went not out on 13 and Usman Shinwari on 1.
Muhammad Musa dismissed three players of Karachi Kings. Faheem Ashraf got two wickets while Shadab Khan and Rumman Raees took one each.
Tight security arrangements were made for the match. A large number of people watched the match. The match started at 07:00 pm.
