KP Badminton Super League Begins

The first Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Badminton Super League, named after former international badminton player now playing badminton in UK, got under way with the collaboration of the Directorate of Sports KP here at Hayatabad Sports Complex on Tuesday.
Director National Book Foundation KP Murad Ali Mohmand was the chief guest on this occasion. Coach Irfan Afridi, former Pakistan No. 1 Murad Ali, Riaz Khan, officials and players were also present.
In the team event on the opening day Kohat defeated Karak by 3-0 while Bannu beat Mardan by 3-0.
Speaking on this occasion, Murad Ali Mohmand lauded the organizing committee for holding the lead for the first time in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said the league would provide ample opportunities to the upcoming players to come and show their hidden talent. He said competition was a better judge as one can judge his or her performance through competitions.
He also assured his full support to the organizing committee. He also appreciated Directorate of Sports KP for extending support to the organizing committee for making such an event possible.
