Pakistan Army Team Wins Two Matches Of National Women's Softball Championship

The Pakistan Army's team defeated the Punjab team in a three-innings match with 16-0 runs during inaugural matches of 14th National Women's Softball Championship played at Girls Degree College Cantonment Quetta on Friday.
Atiya Ishaq, Iram Khalid, Fariha, Ayesha, Rabia, Rashida, Zahida and Aliya of Pakistan Army team scored 2 runs, said a press release issued here.
In second match Wapda defeated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa team with 15 runs. From Wapda's team Umme Hani scored 3 runs while Rabia Liaquat, Madiha, Sadia, Erum Shehzadi, Saira, Sana and Iqra scored 2 runs.
In third match Pakistan Army defeated Sindh team with 15-1.
From Pakistan Army's team Atiya Ishaq scored 3 runs, Atiya Saif, Fariha Nayab and Rabia Shahid scored 2 runs while Rabia Gul from Sindh team scored one run only.
Member Balochistan Assembly Ahmed Nawaz was the chief guest while Softball Federation Pakistan President Haider Khan Lehri, organizing committee secretary Naseem Khan, Manzoor Ahmed, Ghafoor Ahmed and Jahanzeb Khan were present on the occasion.
The teams from Federal capital Islamabad, Sindh, Punjab, Balochsitan, KPK, Pakistan Army and Wapda are taking part in a three-day championship. The championship has been organized by Balochistan Softball Association in collaboration with Balochistan sports board.
