Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) fails to hold even a single training camp for IBSF World Snooker C'ships

Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) did not hold even a single training camp in preparation for the IBSF World Snooker Championships at Myanmar to be held this month.

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Nov, 2018 ) :Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) did not hold even a single training camp in preparation for the IBSF World Snooker Championships at Myanmar to be held this month.

A four-member Pakistan team including Babar Masih, Muhammad Asif, Muhammad Bilal and Imran Shahzad will feature in the championships to be played from November 18 to 27.

PBSA President Munawwar Hussain Shaikh will also accompany the team as accredited delegate to attend the IBSF Annual General Meeting, scheduled to be held on November 25.

Talking to APP, Babar Masih said Imran will chip in masters' category while the other three cueists will vie in men's category," he said.

"PBSA did not arrange even a single training camp for the players to prepare for the said championship which is very disappointing. It would have not mattered much if this was just an ordinary championship but this was a World class event and measures should have been taken," he said.

He said I had asked Munawwar Hussain to organize training camp for the championship but he refused saying there was very less time left in the championship.

"Not holding a training camp for the World championship is not at all a professional approach by PBSA. All four of us (cueists) have been preparing for the championships at our own hometowns," he said and added he has been practicing 8 to 10 hours a day at his club in Rawalpindi.
