Pakistan Contingent Of 397 To Take Part In Asian Games

Pakistan contingent of 397 athletes and officials will represent the country in the Asian Games being held from August 18 to September in Jakarta-Palembang, Indonesia.
LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jun, 2018 ) :Pakistan contingent of 397 athletes and officials will represent the country in the Asian Games being held from August 18 to September in Jakarta-Palembang, Indonesia.
This decision was taken at a meeting here on Wednesday at POA house which was attended by officials of the POA and Pakistan Sports board.
In this meeting the federations gave their proposals / suggestions and also expected performance of athletes for the said games. The meeting finally resolved to participate in the following sports:-Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Baseball, Basketball (3x3), Boxing, Bridge, Equestrian, Fencing, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Handball, Hockey, Ju-Jitsu, Kabaddi, Karate, Kurash, Paragliding, Pencak Silat, Rowing, Rugby, Sailing, Sepaktakraw, Shooting, Soft Tennis, Sport Climbing, Squash, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Volleyball, Weightlifting, Wrestling and Wushu.
The strength of Pakistan Contingent is , Athletes (Men) PSB sponsored,181, self sponsored 69 total (250) Athletes (Female) PSB sponsored, 34, self sponsored, 14, total (48) Officials (men and women ) PSB sonsored 85, self sponsored 14, total (99).
The Training camps of the government sponsored sports will commence from June 20 at Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi Centres.
