نوروز منگل

2007ء میں کپتانی سنبھالنے کے بعد نو روزمنگل افغان کرکٹ ٹیم کو نئی بلندیوں پر لے گئے اور انہی کی زیر قیادت افغانستان نے 2009ء کے ورلڈ کپ کوالیفائرز میں ون ڈے سٹیٹس حاصل کرنیوالی پہلی آئی سی سی ایفیلیئٹڈ ٹیم ہونیکا اعزاز حاصل کیا ، 2010ء کے ٹی ٹونٹی ورلڈ کپ میں نو روز منگل ان چند تجربہ کار افغان بلے بازوں میں شامل تھے جنہوں نے مشکل وقت پر ٹیم کو سہارا دیا ۔منگل نے بہت سے دیگر افغان بچوں کی طر ح اپنا بچپن پشاور کے مہاجر کیمپ میں گزارا تھا اور وہیں سے کرکٹ کھیلنا شروع کی ۔بالی ووڈ مووی ’’اقبال‘‘ کی طرح انہیں بھی پروفیشنل کرکٹ کھیلنے کے لیے بہت پاپڑ بیلنے پڑ ے تھے کیوں کہ انکے اسے ایک فضول کام سمجھتے تھے۔ اس وقت کے افغان کوچ تاج ملک نے نوروز منگل کے والد کو منانے کے لیے ایک رات انکے گھر پر بھی قیام کیا اور با لآخر انہیں اپنے بیٹے کو کرکٹ کھیلنے کی اجازت دلوانے میں کامیاب ہوگئے ۔ نوروز منگل نے اپنے کوچ کو مایوس نہیں کیا اور آج وہ دیگر افغان کرکٹرز کی طرح ایک قومی ہیرو ہیں ۔
