Asad Qaiser Asks Overseas Pakistanis To Bring More Investment In Country

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Sep, 2018 ) :Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser on Monday asked the overseas Pakistanis specially those living in United States to bring more and more investment in Pakistan for socio economic development of the country.
Addressing the first Pakistan-US business Forum here, the Speaker said that the government was committed to facilitate the foreign investors through one window operation.
He said Pakistan gives importance to better relations with the US and it wanted to boost bilateral trade volume as the existing volume of trade was not according to true potential.
The Business Forum was jointly organized by Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) and Pakistan-US Business Forum here at a hotel.
The Speaker also assured the businessmen from US that a meeting would be arranged between them and the Prime Minister and Finance Minister, their proposals and recommendations would be given due consideration in the national economic policy.
He also asked the overseas Pakistanis to take benefit of new opportunities emanating out of the mega project of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as it would change the fate of not only Pakistan but also the whole region.
Earlier, speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for Interior, Shehr Yar Afridi said that in orderto promote trade and investment, it was vital to maintain peace in the country.
He said provision of protection and facilities to the foreign investors was the top priority of the government.
