Industrial Production in Russia Grew 4.1% in February Year-on-Year - Statistics Service

Industrial production in Russia grew by 4.1 percent in February year-on-year, which is a three percentage point increase compared to January's year-on-year growth, the Russian Federal State Statistics Service said on Monday

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th March, 2019) Industrial production in Russia grew by 4.1 percent in February year-on-year, which is a three percentage point increase compared to January's year-on-year growth, the Russian Federal State Statistics Service said on Monday.

Industrial production grew by 0.4 percent compared to January. Seasonal and Calendar factors excluded, growth stood at 1.2 percent.

While the Primary sector grew by 5.1 percent in February year-on-year, the processing industry grew by 4.6 percent year-on-year and by 6.6 percent compared to January. The increase in water supply, water discharge and waste disposal made 1.8 percent year-on-year. Meanwhile, energy, gas and steam supplies decreased by 1.1 percent compared to last February.

Industrial production in Russia grew by 2.9 percent in 2018, compared to 2.1 percent in 2017.
