Russia's Rosgeologia To Conduct Complex Exploration Of Bahraini Shelf - Statement

Russian exploration company Yuzhmorgeologiya, a subsidiary of Russian state exploration holding Rosgeologia, has begun mobilizing vessels and equipment for the purposes of carrying out complex geophysical surveys on the Bahraini shelf in cooperation with Tatweer Petroleum - Bahrain Field Development Company, Rosgeologia said in a statement on Monday.

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 10th December, 2018) Russian exploration company Yuzhmorgeologiya, a subsidiary of Russian state exploration holding Rosgeologia, has begun mobilizing vessels and equipment for the purposes of carrying out complex geophysical surveys on the Bahraini shelf in cooperation with Tatweer Petroleum - Bahrain Field Development Company, Rosgeologia said in a statement on Monday.

"This project envisages naval and land gravity magnetic and electromagnetic surveys, as well as naval engineering geophysical and hydrographical surveys ... The operations are scheduled to start in January 2019," the statement read.

The work will be carried out as part of the agreement on geophysical surveys for oil and gas exploration and production that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa signed in September 2016, Rosgeologia specified.
