Shipping Activity At Port Qasim 10 Jan 2019

Two ships, MOL Globe and White Purl carrying containers and LPG took berths at Qasim International Container Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Wednesday
Meanwhile two more ships, Pacific Activity and OOCL Washington with Coal and Containers also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
A total of eleven ships are currently occupying PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Coal, Canola Seeds, Bitumen, LPG, Palm and Diesel oil respectively. Out of them, two ships, APL Miami and MOL Globe sailed out to sea on Thursday morning, and two more ships, Maria-II and Gao Yu-5 are expected to sail on same day in the afternoon.
A cargo volume of 128,302 tonnes, comprising 81,752 tonnes imports cargo and 46,550 tonnes export cargo, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,582 containers (TEUs), (1,052 TEUs imports and 2,450 TEUs exports) was handled at the Port.
Five ships OOCL Washington, Maersk Bentonville, Navios Mercury, Maran Gas Efessos and CS Fabulous carrying Containers, Coal, LNG and Palm oil are expected to take berth at QICT, PIBT, EETL and LCT respectively on Thursday. While another ship CMA CGM Butterfly is dueto arrive at PQ on Friday.
