AIOU Undertakes Industrial Training Program

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has introduced an industrial training program to help the young engineers in promoting their professional skill. It is one-month certificate course, being introduced in collaboration with the Skill Development Council

ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Feb, 2018 ) : Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has introduced an industrial training program to help the young engineers in promoting their professional skill. It is one-month certificate course, being introduced in collaboration with the Skill Development Council. According to the Directorate Admissions, the program has been initiated with the current semester, spring 2018.

Admissions are opened till March 5. It will be a regular monthly program that will be offered whole of the year. Diploma holders in the field are eligible for the admission. The program will be conducted by the University’s department of Engineering Technology.

Meanwhile, the AIOU has also launched an educational leadership management (ELM) program to promote leadership skill in the educational field.

It is one-year post-graduate diploma that was especially offered for the career-development of the students. Graduate students, having at least 45 percent marks are eligible to take admission in the new program. The newly launched academic programs mainly relate to the society’s socio-economic issues that also meet the market needs. Vice Chancellor Professor Dr.

Shahid Siddiqui hoped that these courses will be helpful in promoting professional skill and empowering the students to start their own entrepreneurship. The University has introduced 27 new academic programs during the last three years, besides the skill-based short-courses.
