Centers For Open Education In Russian Language To Launch In Syria In 2019-2025
A network of centers that will provide open education in the Russian language will start working in Syria in 2019-2025, a spokesman for the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, Stanislav Gaponenko, said on Wednesday
"The project of the ministry's target-oriented program ... for 2019-2025 provides for the implementation, on a competitive basis, of activities to create and develop an integrated network of centers for open education in Russian and for the teaching of the Russian language," Gaponenko said at a joint meeting of the joint Russia-Syria coordination center on refugee repatriation.
At the same time, in 2019-2021, the study of the Russian language will be organized in general education organizations of Syria within the framework of an agreement between the ministries of education of the two countries.
Moreover, online training courses will be organized for teachers, Gaponenko added.
"Regarding general education and advanced training for teachers, the Ministry of Education of Russia plans to hold open online lessons for Syrian teachers, as well as advanced training courses for industrial workers," the spokesman said.
