Meeting Reviews Construction, Development Plan Of University Of Sindh

A high level meeting held here on Thursday at University of Sindh Jamshoro to discuss architectural layout plan with the contract winning company
Senior cadre faculty members and top-brass management of the University attended the meeting of the project under which 13 teaching departments and seven other buildings would be constructed in the premises of main campus.
The contract was allotted through open, transparent, competitive tender on merit to construct new block of the Faculty of Social Sciences.
The participants of the meeting, presided over by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Burfat, were informed that the proposal plan has been prepared as per varsity requirements in the light of Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) recommended by international construction agencies.
The proposal plan included academic and administrative offices, classrooms, lecture theatres, seminar halls, computer laboratories, libraries, committee rooms, dean/ chairpersons/ faculty/ staff offices and other required spaces. The presenter team also noted down in detail the audience feedback to incorporate in the plan.
The meeting decided to call another meeting to contemplate the revised plan and also to invite all concerned academic and administrative heads to get acquainted with the work-plan, estimate cost, work execution plan and register their input.
The Registrar Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saleem Chandio, Advisor Planning and Development Cell Sajid Qayoom Memon, Member Syndicate Prof. Dr. Arfana Begum Mallah, Incharge Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Project Director and other concerned officials also attended the meeting.
