AJK DWP reviews development projects worth Rs. 982 mln

The Development Working Party, the approving forum of Azad Jammu Kashmir government reviewed Rs. 982 million worth ten development projects relating to Agriculture, Industries / AJK-TEVTA, AKMIDC, Communication & Works, Higher Education, Power (Electricity Department), Foreign Funded Projects (DCRIP) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) sectors/sub-sectors.

MIRPUR (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Oct, 2018 ) , :The Development Working Party, the approving forum of Azad Jammu Kashmir government reviewed Rs. 982 million worth ten development projects relating to Agriculture, Industries / AJK-TEVTA, AKMIDC, Communication & Works, Higher education, Power (Electricity Department), Foreign Funded Projects (DCRIP) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) sectors/sub-sectors.

The 4th meeting of AJKDWP held in the state's metropolis on Tuesday the Additional Chief Secretary (Dev.) Govt of AJ&K in the chair to review the development projects set for the ongoing financial year of 2018-19, an AJK government spokesperson later told APP here.

The venerable representatives of the Federal Government, Secretaries of the respective line departments and officers of the P&DD, GoAJ&K attended the meeting.

The significant projects that were brought under discussion include Fruit Development Programme (FDP) by Improving Existing Wild Fruit Flora in AJK, Establishment of Vocational Training Institute at District Jhelum Valley and District Haveli, Exploration of Evaluation of Ruby Deposit in Darer, Khandi Gali & Liam Areas and Exploration of Gold Occurrences in Burjawali areas of District Neelum, Improvement & Reconditioning of Link Roads having length 40 KM in District Muzaffarabad, Establishment of Infirmary in King Abdullah Campus of University of AJK Muzaffarabad, Construction of 33KV Feeder from Islamgarh to Sahar and Construction of 33/11 KV Substation at Sahar District Mirpur, Feasibility Study of New Grid Stations (Samhani, Sensah & Forward Kahutta) in AJ&K, Rehabilitation and Improvement of Dandli to Roli Water Channel Kotli under DCRIP and Augmentation of EPA through MultipleInitiatives were also reviewed in length, the spokesperson concluded.
