
4.6 Magnitude Quake Jolts Dir, Chitral

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th August, 2016) : An earthquake measuring 4.6 on Richter scale with the depth of 130 km hit Chitral, Dir and adjoining areas on Thursday. Metrological Department sources informed that the epicenter of the earthquake was located in the Hindu Kush Mountains in Afghanistan, ptv reported.
The quake panicked the residents who immediately came out of their homes.
However, there are no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
